10 THINGS TO DO in Madrid

1. A bus tour: There’s a constant flow of tourist buses
circulating 2 different routes. A great way to get an overview of the city without wearing out your sneakers!

2. Head to Casa de Campo: A huge expanse of heath land for a picnic. There’s a great cable car, a zoo, and theme park too!

3. Eat some tapas: Between Paseo del Prado & Sol (best
side roads are Huertas & Victoria). Also around Sol, Plaza Mayor & La Latina.

4. Visit a museum: Whether it’s the classic Prado, modern Reina Sofía, or the best private collection in the Thyssen ‐ Madrid has a lot to offer!

5. Eat some paella: Champagnería Gala is recommended on calle Moratín, 22, 914292562

6. Have a drink in Plaza de Santa Ana: This central square (plaza) is a delightful place to have a drink and watch the world go by.

7. Go shopping: Visit Gran Vía, Fuencarral & Puerta del Sol or for designer shops around roads Serrano, Goya & Ortega y Gasset.

8. Do a day trip: Best options close to Madrid are: Alcalá de Henares, El Escorial or Aranjuez. Also not far from Madrid are Segovia, Avila or Toledo.

9. Go clubbing: There’s something for everyone but bear in mind things start late, and end…. well, very late!!

10. Enjoy top parks: like the Royal Botanical Garden, Parque del Buen Retiro & Las Vistillas.

What can’t you love about this!!!

I initially wanted visiting London to be my first overseas trip, but you are seriously making me want to change that to Spain…
