Since 2008 my focus has been to master SEO and the monetizing of blogs. Why? Because many entrepreneurs, non-profit and business folks who want to reach out to the community, have a difficult time raising monies for their philanthropic endeavors.
For 2 1/2 year my non profit – The Urban Progressive Foundation ran a gallant crusade to support and project underservice communities for being duped by the monumental DTV transition. It was difficult, but we were successful.
Had a internet presence been instituted that would provide 3 to 5 thousand dollar a month – we could have help so many more folks As the executive director, I spent more than half my time running ragged trying to raise funds to keep our crusade going. I don’t know how, but in the end our non-profit was successful in installing over 1700 digital converter boxes, and provided critical workshops to over 50,000 residents .
This was great – but if funds were readily available how much more impact could we have done.
So here I am in Virginia Beach, Va meeting with Tom Antion – a master at monetizing sites, public speaking, heck just about everything. I came done to meet with him for one day workshop. So last night I drove down from DC to set at the feet of this guy and see if he has the secrets to the world of monetized sites.
